If you could plop yourself in any scene within the Shade trilogy, which one would it be?
It's hard not to answer this question without being a bit spoilery. So if you haven't read the books, then you may not want to read my response. I love Zachary and Logan so much that I'd have to have a scene with each of them.
My scene with Zachary would be from Shade- on the U.S.S. Constellation- potato bin, baby! To have that fear of being chased, then to hide in a potato bin and mack with Zachary Moore... Talk about a flip of adrenaline there, but both make your heart race in two different ways.
With Logan, I'd have to go with the cemetery scene in Shine. To have a chance to say goodbye to someone that was dear to your heart and to watch them find peace, it was truly mesmerizing.

Jeri made some amazing playlists for the series. Which song is your favorite?
Oh man- I Will Possess Your Heart by Death Cab for Cutie. I'll never tire of listening to that beautiful song and it will forever remind me of Zachary and Aura. It was such a perfect fit for the beginning of their relationship.

What is your "desert island" book(s)?
I'd have to say The Aspect of Crow Trilogy, also written by Jeri Smith-Ready. Those books are so full of emotion and spirituality that it leaves you with a thought process and reflection for days.

When you're not rockin' it with Team Kilt, what do you like to do?
Me and the hubs and our two kids kick it and have us a jolly ole time. There's lots of laughter in my household and never a dull moment. Of course I love to read and I love going to costume themed parties. Dressing up and impersonating the character you are portraying is so much fun.

Ice cream is amazing. What is your favorite flavor? If you don't like ice cream (what?!), what is your favorite dessert?
Oooooh girl, lemme tell ya- I heart me some ice cream!! I even have ice cream dates on twitter with @librarychickD (Deanne). My favorite right now... My favorite flava of the moment is Ben and Jerry's Red Velvet Cake. It is spank my booty and call me Judy good!!

Where is the number one place you've been dying to go?
Costa Rica!!! Flipping paradise right there! I wanna go cave diving and snorkeling and hang gliding.

Who is your favorite character from the Shade trilogy?
Oh farts, that’s a loaded question. While I adore them all (well accept for Bitchy Becca Goldman) I'd have to say Aura. It was her story after all- and she kept it real.

Which do you prefer, winter or summer?
Lawdy- I live in the south- Right in the boot of Louisiana where it's hot and humid in the summer- like melt your rubber soles to the concrete, hot. So I'm going to say winter. I could always add more clothes to stay warm.

What is your favorite quote from the trilogy?
"Just you wait lassie, just you wait." Woooo weeeee that green-eyed lad makes my heart flutter happiness.

What do you like most about being a part of Team Kilt?
The relationships that I've established through Team Kilt are the bomb dot com! And it's amazing at how committed we are in supporting the Shade Trilogy. We kick ass!

If you could take any Shade trilogy character with you on vacation, who would it be and where?
Ooh, this is a tough one! I think Aura would be really fun to hang out with. I've yet to go to the eastern states, so she could show me around her favorite places. OR we could take a road trip to some random places... just get in the car and go. I'm sure we'd have a killer road trip playlist! Or a concert. A concert would be fantastic! OR we could go to a country where neither of us know the language and see what happens. Hee hee.

Paperback, Hardback or E-reader?
I used to be all about hardcover books, but I'm slowly falling for trade paperbacks. I tend to move around a lot and hardcovers are incredibly heavy and take up a lot of room. Trade paperbacks are typically pretty thin, whilst looking amazing still. As for e-readers... well, I'm not sold on the idea yet. I think I'm going to stay old-school when it comes to reading. Besides, I love the smell of books.

What is your favorite dance move?
Oh my word, I am SO not a dancer. My favorite dance move is a little something I like to call "bopping." Basically I just bounce (or bop) to the music at random. I'm more likely to be caught singing along than dancing.

Which character of the Shade trilogy do you share a common interest with and what is it?
I guess I could kind of say I have a common interest with most of the characters, in that I'm completely addicted to music. There are certain genres or artists I don't really care for, but I still like more than I dislike. I recently went to a Snow Patrol concert and it was AMAZING! I kept thinking about the Shade trilogy during it, so that made the experience even more spectacular.

If you could take only two items with you to last you two weeks, what would they be and why?
Hmm. That is also a tough question! I think I would bring a big, awesome book (TBD) and my iPod. Then I would hope my iPod could survive that long without being charged. As to the why... I think I would spontaneously combust without music. I also always carry a book and my iPod wherever I go, so it makes sense I would choose those two items.

What was the most exciting or funniest moment that you have ever experienced?
I think I would have to say the most exciting thing was when I got to go on tour to Disneyland with my choir. This happened back in high school, but it's still one of the most exciting things I've ever been able to do. Getting to go behind the scenes was so much fun!

If you could go to any concert with Logan Keeley, what band/singer would you go see?
I certainly wouldn't mind going to see Snow Patrol again. I'm game for seeing anyone. Frankly, I think it would be amazing to go to ANY concert with Logan!

If Aura Salvatore was a paper doll, what would you dress her in?
Probably something totally random like a superhero or in medieval garb or a flapper outfit. I'm weird like that.

What would be your ideal date with Zachary Moore?
Would it be cheating to say ANY date? I'm really easygoing, so something as simple as walking in the park would be nice. Or going out for ice cream. I'm always down for some ice cream.

  1. Kim - you CRACK. ME. UP. I love ya, girl! *muah*

Melissa - I'd LOVE to see Snow Patrol live and in person. And I'm with you on the eReader thing. I have one and it was great for taking on vacation, but I prefer holding a real book in my hands when reading.
