#TeamKilt Spotlight Interview -- Christy and Carla

Say hello to today's Spotlight Kickoffs Christy and Carla!

Name: Christy
Twitter: @starrebelle
Interviewed by: Carla

The basics: name, age, location? I'm Christy! I'll be 26 in about three weeks (ugh, close to 30, it's kinda freaking me out!) and I live in the states-AR specifically.

Can you let us know five random things about you?
I could never pick between Italian and Chinese food
•I watch a ridiculous amount of cartoons
•My vices are books (duh!) and makeup. Especially sparkly makeup.
•Sweet tea is my favorite thing ever
•I probably couldn't survive without my phone/social networking

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go first? Ireland. I've got Irish heritage so I think that'd be my first choice. But I also want to go to Provence, France; Tuscany; and Greece. I'd probably travel about anywhere, actually.

Do you have a favorite book? One that means a lot to you? I have about a million favorite books! The books that I've been reading since I was a little girl and have probably made my love of reading are probably what I'm most grateful for, though: ‘A Wrinkle In Time' by Madeleine L'Engle , 'The Secret Garden' and 'A Little Princess' by Frances Hodgson Burnett, 'Dogsbody' by Dianna Wynne Jones

Music is important for Team Kilt. What kind of music do you like the most? I love all kinds of music-I listen to movie scores when I'm stressed, I rap pretty often (and hilariously), pop-punk and screamo are awesome...

If you could invite someone (anyone) to dinner, who would you invite? Do they have to be real people? Hmm. Maybe Jane Austen-that'd be interesting. Maybe Shiloh Fernandez or Sam Witwer, so I can look at them :p

What do you value the most when reading a book? Good characters? An interesting plot? A well-written story? Definitely all of the above. I have to be able to be emotionally attached to the characters and involve myself in the story.

Have you ever read a book that made you extremely emotional? If yes, which book.
I cry ALL THE TIME at books. Logan freaking Keeley makes me cry EVERY TIME. 'Sinful' by Charlotte Featherstone kills me. 'Dewey' by Vicki Myron. 'Clockwork Prince' by Cassie Clare. 'Forbidden' by Tabitha Suzuma. 'God Shaped Hole' by Tiffanie deBartolo. I could totally keep going, haha.

What would you say is the best thing about Team Kilt? The fact that Team Kilt-ers understand my totally bizarre sense of humor, tend to sleep as little as I do so there's always SOMEONE up when I want to talk to someone, and the fact that they're so flipping friendly, welcoming, loyal, tenacious, and all those other awesome adjectives.

Top 5 book boyfriends? Oh crap. Just 5? *deep breath* Okay.
•Sam from Maggie Stiefvater's 'Shiver'
•Cam from Lisa Kleypas' 'The Hathaways' series
•Bram from Lia Habel's 'Dearly, Departed' (yes, I know he's a zombie. I'm strangely okay with that.)
•Will from TID (sorry, I've loved him since the beginning)
•Beckett from Debra Anastasia's 'Poughkeepsie'

(Logan and Zach aren't on here because they're in a league all their own :p )

Basic info: age (-ish is okay :) ), general location, etc.? I'm Carla, I live in Portugal and I'm 23!

What 5 words would you pick to describe yourself? Imaginative, stubborn, adventurous, curious and determined.

Do you have any pets? If so, who are they and if not, what would you want?
I have a dog named Julie. She's a german shepherd and she's awesome. She loves playing and for people to rub her belly. :)

Favorite word & why? It's a portuguese word: saudade. It's a very unique word that doesn't really have an immediate translation to other languages, which is what I really like about it. It means something like I miss you. It has been described as "...vague and constant desire for something that does not and probably cannot exist ... a turning towards the past or towards the future."

Where would your dream vacation be, and what would you want to do while there? I would love be able to go to Egypt. Egyptian mythology has always fascinated me and I'm sure it would be great to visit places like the pyramids and learn a little bit more about the local history.

Song/band that means the most to you? It's difficult for me to choose only one band or song. The music I listen to changes according to my mood and feelings. I like bands like The Beatles, Oasis, The Killers, Kings of Leon, etc..

If you work, what do you do? if not, what's your dream job? I'm currently finishing my Master's Degree and doing a traineeship at a chamber of commerce. I majored in International Relations so I would love to be able to work for an international organization like the United Nations.

What are your favorite and least favorite things about yourself (physical, mental-whatever!) I guess I can be a little too stubborn sometimes and that's not always a good thing, I have no problems admitting I'm wrong when I know I am, though.
I like my eyes and my hair but I'm not a big fan of my nose. :)

What is one (or...y'know, a few) book you could read a million times? I love Jane Austen and I could definitely read her books again and again. More recently I've read Forbidden by Tabitha Suzuma and The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. Both are emotional books that I think I could read many times.

Top 5 book boyfriends (hey, this is an important thing to know!)? It's so difficult to choose only 5! Let's see:
•Zach from Shade (of course!) I love you too Logan!
•Will from the Infernal Devices Series
•Augustus from The Fault in Our Stars
•Four from Divergent
•Dimitri from The Vampire Academy
