Pre-Release Party Day 1: SHADE

Let's get this party started!! *cues music, lights, and checks food* All good to go.

In SHADE we are introduced to a world of Post-Shifters and Pre-Shifters...those who can see ghosts and those who can't. Aura, Logan, and Zachary didn't get to choose whether or not they had the ability. But what if you had the choice.

Which would you choose? To see ghosts or not to see ghosts? Why?

  1. It defintiely has a negative side but I think I would want to see the ghosts.
It would feel worse knowing that all this stuff is going on around me and I can't see it.

  2. Gah. I definitely wouldn't want to see ghost. They scare me. I'd rather live blissfully ignorant. :3

  3. I've actually thought about this a lot. (shocking, right?) I go back and forth but I think I'd be happier as a pre-shifter.

I'm quite certain I'd get a really bad case of anxiety if I had to listen to the stories of the ghosts. Aura handles it well, but I'd get nothing else accomplished worrying about all those poor ghosts who need to move on, LOL!

  4. I'm just far to nosy. I would want to see. It would kill me to be in the dark.

  5. Well, since I won't be pegged as crazy nuts and be thrown into a mental institution anymore for seeing and talking to ghosts, then post-shifter it is! I wanna be in the know and help some troubled spirit..Okay, who am I kidding? I just like the color purple. HAHAHAHA!

  6. I think I'd want to be a post-shifter as well. If ghosts are there I'd rather know it & see them than not. I mean, I can always wear a lot of red if it gets to be too much, right? ;)

  7. I'm a pretty compassionate person. If I'd be able to help a ghost pass on and find peace, I really think that would be a beautiful experience. On the other hand, if I couldn't accomplish for that ghost to find peace, it would destroy me, as I'd dwell on finding a solution and I think it would drive me crazy if I wasn't successful. Therefore, I would like to be a pre-shifter and maybe assist a post-shifter in helping ghosts find peace. That way, I won't have direct contact with ghosts.

  8. Dude, I would SO be a post-shifter! It's where all the cool kids are at. (No offense Z and L...and all the Keeleys except Dylan). I don't know, I just think I'd be too curious and it would drive me crazy that people could see something that I couldn't! And if the ghosts get to be too much? That's what Zach is for!!

  9. I'd have to go with seeing ghosts. There's just too much to learn and so many people to help. Except maybe when there is a Shade around, but ya never know what might happen with them! hehe

  10. I'd want to see ghosts. It would probably make life easier to not see them, but I'm way too curious (and nosy) to handle not seeing ghosts while knowing others could see them.

  11. I've always believed in ghosts, and would love to see one. So, I would be a post-shifter.

  12. I very much see the positive and negative points to both sides. I think I'd want to see them, though. I'd hate to think that a family member of mine could be one and I wouldn't be able to help them. That also makes me think that even if my family member wasn't that other people's family members would be...so I'd want to help them too. Plus, if they were always around, it isn't like they'd be scary...they'd just be.

Although, this answer only counts as long as certain places are still blackboxed. If we're outlawing blackboxing then I don't want to see the ghosts that see me. Haha.

  13. I would definitely choose to see ghosts. I'm deathly afraid of the idea of ghosts (the kind that can haunt you and possess you and whatnot), but in SHADE its completely normal so it wouldn't be scarey or anything. Also, I would die of curiousity (no pun intended) if I couldn't. I would constantly be wondering what it was like to see them and if there were any around and what they looked like and what they would want to talk about. But really, I just think it'd be cool, even if it would get old after a little while (then my amazing ignoring powers would come in handy)and besides, with my age, I technically would be a Post-Shifter. :)

  14. Definitely a Post-Shifter. I would feel like I was missing out on something. Though the thought of seeing ghosts creeps me out, Jeri does an amazing job of making this... not so scary? lol

  15. I would say post-shifter. I get scared easily so as long as they aren't jumping out at me or anything I would like to see them. I would feel very left out if everyone else could see ghosts and I couldn't. However I wouldn't want to be the only one seeing them. I don't want to be a crazy person.

  16. If we are talking strictly in the sense of the SHADE world I would prefer to be a post-shifter. I'm a nosey-rosey and need to know what's going on. But I'm okay with being able to run them off by wearing red. But I do realize I could easily be stressed out trying to help them or should I run across a family member haunting me.

  17. I'd definitely want to be a post-shifter. I don't think I'd like it much if I knew there were (or could be) ghosts around, but I couldn't see them. And, like someone else said, if it got to be too much I could always wear a lot of red. I like red. :)

  18. I would choose to see ghosts especially if others could.
